London Office
We handle vacancies on behalf of the top 350 private practices in the capital as well hundreds of small, medium sized and niche practices in London, the South, the Home Counties and the Midlands.
Our In House team , managed by Lucy Boyd, is widely regarded as the most connected and effective in the country, handling vacancies within the financial, manufacturing, construction & engineering, commercial, high-tech, regulatory and industrial sectors.
Our renowned Professional Support team is also based in London.
Vacancies in Europe, the Far East and North America are also handled from here.

Marian Lloyd-Jones co-founded Lipson Lloyd-Jones with Simon Lipson in 1987 from a standing start. Marian was previously involved in the advertising and marketing industry. Lucy Boyd joined Lipson Lloyd-Jones in 1987 soon after being called to the Bar. She established and developed Lipson Lloyd-Jones's In House team soon after and is noted for her expertise in managing dedicated recruitment campaigns for clients in the commercial, financial. technology, regulatory, energy and manufactoring sectors. Shelley Carr joined Lipson Lloyd-Jones in 2001 and initially handled both private practice and in-house recruitment. In 2003, she joined our Professional Support team and has since established herself as one of the country’s leading exponents in this area of recruitment. Jon Cowdry joined Lipson Lloyd-Jones in 2002 and specialised in legal executive recruitment, quickly building the first ‘go to’ division for this sector. Since then he has developed a wider portfolio, recruiting solicitors from NQ to partner, and has managed a number of high profile mergers. Jane Fry trained at Wragge & Co and specialized in commercial/IP work there after qualifying in 1997. Our Northern team is based in our Manchester office. The team covers the major legal centres of the North West, North East & Yorkshire markets as well as the surrounding towns.
We have operated within the Northern legal community for over 10 years and each region is serviced by a specialist consultant who has in depth knowledge of the local markets.
Our client base consists of all major international and national commercial firms as well as a vast array of mid-tier and smaller, niche firms. We are instructed on mergers and lateral Partnership hires and we act for lawyers of all levels from Partners to Newly Qualified. Whatever the level, we offer invaluable advice and guidance on finding the right opportunity for our candidates.
