THE FIRMAn international law firm with a highly regarded Banking & Finance practice.THE ROLEThe Debt Capital Markets team deals with a broad range of UK and international transactional work including structured finance and securitisation, debt capital markets, Islamic finance/sukuk and derivatives. The team is looking for a solicitor with between 3 and 6 years' post-qualification experience in structured finance and securitisation. The right candidate will want to continue to have variety in their day to day work and to be willing to support other areas, including debt capital markets and derivatives. The team's clients are primarily banks, finance companies, insurers, rating agencies and corporates and transactions range from mid-market domestic deals to structured cross-border financings and restructurings. ABOUT YOUIdeally the candidate will have significant experience both of public (term) securitisations and of conduit securitisations, acting both for arrangers and for originators, and will have obtained his / her experience in a leading City firm. The candidate would ideally have experience of DCM transactions (either on the issuer or arranger side) to be able to support our client's debt capital markets team. The candidate must be:• proactive• enjoy taking responsibility for his/ her work and the management of transactions – he/she will have substantial drafting experience and transaction management responsibility• willing to participate in marketing - enthusiasm for maintaining and developing client relationships is essential• a team player• willing to support our client's leading CIS and GCC practices, and to travel internationally A strong academic background is a pre-requisite.
