THE ROLE
You will provide P&I and FDD (Freight, Demurrage and Defence) claims handling service and advice.
Key Responsibilities to include:
To promote the relationship between the Club and existing Members for which the Claims team is responsible.
To handle assigned claims in accordance with company procedures, provide advice on claims related issues and identify the need for loss prevention activity.
Handling a wide range of P&I issues and a substantial Defence caseload, including complex and high value matters.
Working with a high degree of independence, taking ownership and responsibility for your caseload, but seeking advice and supportive guidance from your Syndicate Manager or Claims Directors as appropriate.
To promote the relationship between the Club and existing Members for which the claims team is responsible.
ABOUT YOU
A lawyer with 6pqe+ you will have previous experience handling shipping litigation and dispute resolution, from either another P&I club, insurer, law firm, ship owner or ship agent.
